Position: Data Engineer

The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking a Data Engineer. A qualified candidate is responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The candidate will have extensive experience supporting software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. Must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products, to optimize or even re-design the company’s data architecture to support the next generation of products and data initiatives. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing the product into an innovative industry leader 
  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture 
  • Assemble large, complex datasets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements 
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. 
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS/Azure ‘big data’ technologies 
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in the data systems 

Position Requirements: 

  • Hands-on experience with wide variety of data platforms such as SQL database design, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server 
  • Working knowledge of programming languages including PySpark, Python, R, etc. 
  • Three (3+) years of experience as a data engineer or a similar role 
  • Capable of supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment 
  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques 
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines; should be able to work with REST, SOAP, FTP, HTTP, and ODBC 
  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable data stores 
  • Familiar with using ETL Solutions like Azure Data Factory to assist in the extracting, transforming, and loading of data into databases or other storage types 
  • Familiar with Cloud Platforms 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or similar fields or relevant work experience 
  • Data engineering certification (e.g., IBM Certified Data Engineer) 
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry

Position: 508 Software Tester

The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking a 508 Software Tester for evaluation and conformance testing for Department of State websites, web applications, and software. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is detailed, and organized, and is able to work independently with minimal guidance from senior management. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluate and test websites, web apps, and software for accessibility. 
  • Provide feedback to clients on testing results and provide remediation options. 
  • Attend stakeholder meetings to discuss project status, offer insight to processes and team practices, and field questions regarding accessibility testing, criteria, regulations, and requirements. 
  • Actively participate in accessibility programs such as webinars, training sessions, and other Department and government-wide efforts. 
  • Offer input in new accessibility program and policies in order to improve accessibility across the Department and to advance policy initiatives for eliminating barriers to accessible ICT. 
  • Provide excellent customer service and client support experience, specifically with imparting results and reporting on documented findings. 
  • Adhere to Section 508 accessibility standards when producing reports and documentation for team use and for client deliverables. 
  • Utilize excellent research, planning, and organization skills, with the superior ability to manage changing and competing priorities under strict timelines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Position Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of experience Section 508 compliance testing webpages, web-applications, software, and documentation 
  • Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS 
  • Trusted Tester v.5 Certified 
  • Efficient operating M365, Chrome, Edge, and Teams 
  • Project management software, such as Jira or Microsoft Project 
  • Ability to use at least three of the following: JAWS/JAWSInspect, WAVE web extension, Microsoft Accessibility Insights, ANDI, SortSite, Color Contrast tools, and/or TextHelp Read&Write (other tools may be substituted if they are a recognized Section 508 testing tool by W3C, GSA, or the U.S. Access Board)

  • Understanding and having thorough knowledge of Federal Accessibility laws, regulations, polices, and practices. 
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA (2.1 Level AAA preferred). 
  • Working with and managing accessibility testing, audits, and remediation. 
  • Staying current on best practices for delivering in-person, virtual, and hybrid trainings, and evaluate the Division's training platform functionality, making recommendations for changes to licenses as warranted. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Agile Tester, Scrum Master, or other documented Agile training certified 
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent training with web development techniques using HTML5 and CSS

  • Design and lead the strategy and implementation of Tableau as an enterprise BI Tool, including data pipeline ingestion and creation, content, and dashboard development, maintaining access and enabling self-service analytics at scale

Position: Chief Financial Officer

The Prospective Group (TPG) is searching for a Chief Financial Officer to join our team.  The CFO oversees the company’s financial and contractual operations, pricing, and ensures all proper controls and systems are in place, including sufficient capital and financial information, for the company to operate soundly and compliantly.  Manages the operations of the Finance, Accounting, Contracts and Compliance functions and ensures that the firm has a fully integrated software system to meet the company needs in the four areas that fall under this position. Reports to TPG’s Owner and President, and also receives direction from the Executive Vice President. 

Position Requirements: 

Finance 

  • Directs the preparation and ensures the accuracy of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, statement of cash flows, tax returns, financial ratios analysis and reports for government regulatory agencies 
  • Participates in strategic planning and forecasting as well as completion of corporate and divisional reports and budgets. Responsible for the integrity of all financial information and reports 
  • Reviews reports to analyze projections of revenue and profit against actual performance, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the strategic planning process as appropriate 
  • Responsible for identifying problems, including budget overruns for both the company and programs and recommends corrective actions 
  • Performs program and indirect cost reviews, rate validations, forecasting of labor and overhead rates 
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports for TPG executives showing spending vs. budget and identifying any problems that need to be addressed 
  • Provides technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline 
  • Directs and oversees the preparation of Incurred Cost Submissions (if required), Provisional Rate Negotiations and Financial Audit Reports 
  • Ensures that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements 
  • Maintains a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities 

Accounting 

  • Manages and supports the accounting function in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and adequate accounting controls in compliance with US GAAP and the firm’s Corporate Accounting Policies 
  • Ensures the Accounts Payable function is performing effectively; all expense reports, vendor payments and other items are booked correctly 
  • Oversees Accounts Receivable, ensuring invoices are accurate and delivered timely to clients 

Contracts and Compliance 

  • Ensures compliance with applicable Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 
  • Oversees the contracts function in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain compliance, work with contracts staff to develop and negotiate contract terms and conditions, and pricing strategies for bids and proposal 
  • Handles compliance investigations and reporting on fraud, waste, or abuse 
  • Collaborates with legal support services 

Business Development 

  • Provides strategic analysis for bid/no-bid decisions 
  • Leads the cost volume preparation for bids and proposals 
  • Supports the EVP with the business development pipeline

  • This position requires the ability to assemble a software framework whose goal is to ease the integration of multiple datasets across multiple cohorts.  
  • This job will involve building software APIs to lower the barrier of manual curation, design data standards and data formats, design workflows to standardize data types and perform validation, with the intention of constructing modular databases that can be easily extended with new studies and data measurements.   
  • Applicants must have excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, the ability to work in an organized fashion, completing tasks in a timely fashion while paying attention to details, and the ability to learn new skill sets and familiarize with the state-of-the-art workflows for metadata curation and management. 

Position Requirements:  

  • Must have a PhD or master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline within the last 4 years, and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare Microsoft Project plans, One Note workbooks, and SharePoint content to report, manage and present analysis and status of activities in support of office goals including identification of future risks and current issues. 
  • Assess the risks to successful office goal accomplishment and recommend risk treatments to Office Director 
  • Coordinate administrative and logistical details related to the day-to-day operations and the management and accuracy of the directors' calendars and appointments
