Position Responsibilities:

The Prospective Group (TPG) is seeking a Senior Accountant who, with limited oversight, will supervise the accounting functions for our growing organization. We’re looking for someone with a background in full-cycle accounting to setup and refine the department. The candidate will direct and coordinate daily activities of the accounting staff to record revenue, expenses, assets and liabilities quickly and accurately. The Senior Accountant should be a highly motivated self-starter who is looking to grow with the company. The position will be full-time and have two dotted line reports and will report to TPG’s Chief Financial Officer.

Position Responsibilities:

●   Responsible for all accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, financial reporting, project
     accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
●   Ensure the month-end and year-end closes are completed timely and accurately, providing analysis of financial
     performance
●   Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to
     ensure adherence to company guidelines
●   Manage accounting transactions to provide value added analysis and to ensure data integrity is maintained
●   Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled monthly to meet business needs
●   Identify and implement changes to gain efficiencies (e.g., reviewing and optimizing the chart of accounts and
     general ledger, establishing desktop procedures for various job functions)
●   Work with team to maintain reporting for programs and properly recording revenue and expenses as needed
●   Process semi-monthly payroll and 401k contributions for a staff of 60+ employees
●   Assist with Accounting System management and processes Ensure compliance for tax reporting for multiple
     states
●   Comply with applicable tax and regulatory requirements

Position Requirements:

●   Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
●   Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience
●   Strong knowledge of government contracting, GAAP and operational accounting• Knowledge of
     different contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus, etc.)
●   Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot table creation and use of lookup functions
●   PROCAS general ledger experience strongly recommended
●   Paychex payroll experience a plus

This practitioner is responsible for implementing new features of the existing intranet site while maintaining existing WordPress site functionality.      into front-end code
